Sweden has approved last year 70 000 residence permits to people from third countries

Sweden’s migrant influx have not changed radically. People from third countries are flowing on steady stream like on assembly line.

All and all Sweden has given 132 696 residence permits, but numbers that interest us are as follows:

69 958

This number includes 25 114 asylum status permits and 44 844 family reunification program’s relatives.

These people come mainly from islamic developing countries.

The number is the same as middle sized city in Finland, like Hämeenlinna or Lappeenranta, or three cities sized like Hollola or Raisio, or seven small sized cities like Keuruu or Alajärvi. Notable is the fact that family reunification number is record high.

21502 independent asylum seekers wondered across the border, this number seems small comparing to years 2015 and 2014. You should take notice that with this sized influx the base of asylum seekers was build in Sweden, early 2000’s and 2010’s. Biggest countries of departure were Syria, Afghanistan (Iran), Eritrea and Iraq.

Sweden gave 50 520 citizenships. Somalis and Syrians on top places. Finnish weren’t even near the pole position place.
